Sol Archer (1983) is a Netherlands based artist working through collaborations with professional and non-professional groups, considering the encounter as a space of production. Frequently employing video as an apparatus for producing a doubling of experience, productive of work through collective act, and through the work productive of new collectivities, new ways of being together.

Sol engages in long term collaborations with mixed communities of interest and place, developing situated strategies for distributing agency over auto- representation within groups, and aiming to platform and support groups for whom community building around interest and place form acts of resistance.

Sol holds a MA in fine art from the Piet Zwart Institute, held a research placement at the Jan van Eyck Academy and has exhibited widely, including in the Sydney Biennial, Sydney, AU; Rozenstraat, Amsterdam, NL; Le Crac19, Montbeliard, FR ; Index Foundation, Stockholm, SE; TULCA, Galway, IR; Le Lieu Unique, Nantes, FR; MuKHA, Antwerp, BE; and more.
